Godolphin Girls turn Salisbury green for MacMillan

Ahead of the World's Biggest Coffee Morning, 71 of Godolphin School’s Sixth Formers donned green t-shirts, wigs and a 'muggy' outfit to raise money for MacMillan in Salisbury town centre. The girls split into groups and stationed themselves in various city centre locations, smiling, waving and rattling their collection tins at passers-by to attract their attention to this really worthwhile cause. Their base all morning was in Pret-a-Manger who were extremely supportive and were a welcome lunch venue for the hungry fund-raisers! At 1pm, all the girls congregated in the Old George Mall for a 'flash-mob' event which involved all the girls singing 'I'll be there for you', the Rembrandts song famous as the 'Friends' theme tune. They even had Godolphin umbrellas to open at the opportune moment 'when the rain starts to fall' (although it was actually a beautiful September day!)
