Reading School Chess win

The Reading School Chess team has reached the second round of the Yateley Manor National Schools Chess Championships. They scored resounding victories against Yateley Manor School, Wellington College and Davenies School. They now go forward to play Eton College in the second round.

Last year, Reading School reached the National Finals of the competition, and came second out of 8 finalists. They were narrowly beaten by Manchester Grammar School. Team organiser, Mrs Smith says: 'We are currently feeling very optimistic and are looking forward to 2012!'
