Author Talk: Britain’s Role In Slavery

We are lucky to have bestselling author and journalist Thomas Harding paying a visit to The Phoenix Theatre soon to read from and discuss his latest book challenging our national amnesia around Britain’s role in slavery.

The talk entitled, ‘White Debt – The Demerara Uprising and Britain’s Legacy of Slavery’ will take place on Monday 9th May at 6 – 7pm.

He will be asking what legacy slavery left us and what responsibility do we bear for the damage wrought by this terrible period?
