Family Fun Day & Children’s Book Festival

MICHAEL ROSEN, the inspirational former Children’s Laureate and author of We’re Going On A Bear Hunt is coming to Blackheath!

Saturday 1 July 2023 11am – 5pm

We’re delighted to announce that Michael Rosen will be joining us at the Family Fun Day and launch of the Blackheath Children’s Book Festival on Saturday 1 July 2023. Michael will be reading his classic poems, including We’re Going On A Bear Hunt as well as doing book signings. He will be joined by a host of exciting children’s writers for talks, readings, book trails and workshops throughout the day. The day’s entertainment will also include Professor Strange from ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent performing his wonderful world of magic, and visitors can get up close and personal with Jambs Owls and the Wiggly Wild Show. Shop local from 45 stalls at the Solo Craft Fairs Makers Market, marvel at the bubblologists, stilt walkers and cars from the movies, and enjoy the bouncy castles, face painters, games and charity stalls, delicious food, licensed bar and much, much more!

Join us for a spectacular day of family entertainment to celebrate 200 years of our school in the local community. Bring friends and family and come for the day. It’s going to be fun!
