Sherborne Girls Shortlisted For Pupil Mental Health Initiative

Published by Sherborne Girls on Friday 28th of April 2023

We are delighted to announce that Sherborne Girls has been shortlisted for the Pupil Mental Health Initiative of the Year category in the Tes School Awards 2023.

Last year, with support from pupils, staff, parents and senior leadership, we launched a radical new initiative. ‘Press Pause Day’ put the entire school on pause for one day so that every member of our school community could stop, think and learn about their mental health and physical wellbeing. Liberated from timetables, routines and screens for 24 hours, pupils and staff chose from a carousel of six different sessions based on three concepts: creativity, physical activity and mental health.

We are immensely proud of this nomination and to sit amongst other outstanding schools. Thank you Tes!
