2023 GCSE Results

Published on isbi School News dated Thursday 24th of August 2023

Congratulations to our year 11 students who today received their excellent GCSE results.

As with A levels this year, the government had indicated that GCSE grade boundaries would likely align with those from 2019, and this is very much for the case for CLSG. These results can’t fully capture the remarkable triumphs, dedication, and perseverance of our students, but they are certainly worth celebrating nonetheless. We are very proud and extend our heartfelt congratulations to the year 11 students for the following results:

  • 58% of papers were awarded 9

  • 83% awarded 8 or 9 (A*s in old money)

  • 95% awarded 7-9 (A-A*)

As they embark on their A level courses, they can do so with a remarkable sense of confidence and with all the joy of a job very well doneAs always, it is important to acknowledge the collaborative effort and my sincerest thanks go to our dedicated teachers and staff and to parents, for all their gentle encouragement and unwavering moral support.

We very much look forward to welcoming our year 11 students into the sixth form next month.
