New Chief Executive Officer For Prior's Court Announcement

A new Chief Executive has been appointed for Prior's Court.

Ryan Campbell CBE, who has a wealth of experience across the charity sector, has been announced as the new Chief Executive Officer of Prior’s Court.

Mr Campbell replaces Mike Robinson OBE who is stepping down after eight years of leading the charity which provides education and residential care for young people with complex autism.

Mr Campbell’s work in the charity sector includes:

• From 2021 to 2023, he was the CEO of Hampshire-based Treloar’s, a provider of education for physically disabled people with complex needs.


• From 2015 to 2021 he was the CEO of Demelza Hospice Care for Children, which offers palliative care for children and young people with serious and terminal conditions across south-east England.


• Prior to this, he was CEO of an organisation providing clinical, mental health and substance misuse services to young people and adults.


• He has also worked in senior positions for RAPT, a provider of drug and alcohol rehabilitation services in the criminal justice system, and for Age Concern. From 2006-2018 Ryan was a Trustee of Mind, the leading mental health charity, and was its Chair of Trustees from 2012-2018.
  In 2018, Mr Campbell was awarded a CBE for services to mental health provision.

He said:

"Prior’s Court is an incredible place. It is absolutely at the forefront of helping autistic young people with some of the most complex needs to thrive. To have the opportunity to work with those young people, alongside one of the most expert and dedicated staff teams there is, is a huge privilege."

Chris Barrett DL, Chair of Trustees who led the rigorous selection process with the support of an external specialist, said:

"Mike Robinson has done so much for Prior’s Court over the past years and finding a successor was always going to be difficult. I believe that in Ryan we have found a person with both a depth of experience in the sector and an empathy with what everyone at Prior’s Court endeavours to deliver for our young people – helping them to build brighter, more independent futures."

Mr Campbell will formally take up the post of CEO at Prior’s Court on Monday, 24th July.
