Year 3 Teleported Back In Time To Prehistoric Britain

Published by Kingshott School on Thursday 19th of October 2023

Year 3 pupils at Kingshott have been teleported back in time to Prehistoric Britain for the day, as they visited Celtic Harmony!

During their time in the Stone Age they learnt how to knap flint into arrow heads. Moving swiftly on to the Bronze Age, the children all tried to make a pot which proved extremely taxing. Reaching the Iron Age they used stone querns to grind grains and make flour, although they appreciated that this was also used in a more primitive form earlier in time.

Lunch was taken adjacent to a beautifully painted cave, under the shadows of Stonehenge! Of course, there were some modern day adjustments!
