QE Celebrates 114th Birthday

Published by Queen Ethelburga's Collegiate on Monday 19th of October 2026

We wrapped up the half term in style, celebrating QE’s 114th birthday!

From our usual performances to a little lunchtime magic from one of our talented students, there was plenty to enjoy. 🪄🎶 We also welcomed back QE alumna Sian Rodgers, who joined us to deliver this year’s birthday speech.

And of course, no birthday would be complete without the traditional cake cutting with a sword! ⚔️

Happy 114th birthday, QE! 💙🎈 We hope all our students and staff enjoy a well-deserved and restful half term break.
