Notting Hill and Ealing High School is an independent day school for girls aged 4 - 18 located in Ealing, London. Founded in 1873, the school has been a leader in education for girls for over 140 years, and puts the interests of its pupils at the heart of all it does. The school maintains an unusually effective balance of informality coupled with traditional values, and achieves high academic standards alongside a genuine enjoyment of learning. We aim to prepare confident and happy girls who will flourish and take advantage of life's many opportunities.
Academic results are consistently strong. In 2015, 90% of GCSE grades were A* or A, and 87% of A level grades were A*/A or B with 24% at A*. Girls gain places at top universities, and planning for university, careers advice and work experience are integral to the Sixth Form experience.
The school is committed to developing the full breadth of each girl's abilities. There is a wide range of extra-curricular activities at all levels of the school. We encourage excellence in art, drama, music and sport. Trips within London and beyond enrich the classroom curriculum. There is an active House system, and the Sixth Form offers many leadership opportunities for girls.
Girls join the Senior School from a wide range of independent and maintained schools, as well as from our Junior School. We are specialists in girls' education and give close attention to the needs of girls during their youth and adolescence.
