Mrs Deborah Mills
Howe Green House School is an exciting place to be whether as a child, teacher, parent or visitor! You will be greeted by enthusiastic pupils who are courteous, friendly and confident. There is a wonderful atmosphere of happiness, challenge, achievement and acceptance that you are a unique individual of incalculable worth who has boundless and diverse talents just waiting to blossom. Freedom to explore, reflect and to be empowered, all vital experiences on the road to adult fulfilment.
At Howe Green House we have created a stable, supportive community which enhances all members of the family. The school actively encourages parents to be part of their child's education, an education for life in a fast moving century of history. A Parent and Toddler group meets every week and each term new ideas that embrace the family are being experienced.
Whilst curriculum needs change at an alarming pace the basic values of courtesy, honesty, commitment, endeavour and empathy prevail. These values are expressed in the weekly Family Assembly when parents join in worshipful celebration of children's achievements. There is an emphasis on encouraging the spiritual dimension of the child and there are opportunities for quiet reflection.
Children may join the school from the age of 2 years where the Little Oaks nursery offers places on a sessional basis. The children continue through the school until the age of 11 years when they transfer to secondary school.
The school is non selective, innate abilities may vary but the end product at 11 is consistent, excellent results, highly confident children, creative and reflective in their outlook, caring members of society and above all happy, articulate and loving young people who welcome the challenges ahead.
Mrs Deborah Mills, Headmistress, leads the school with a clear vision for the future. We look to develop links with industry, strengthen our ties with the world in which we share, developing our emotional literacy programme and raising even further our expectations of our children in academic achievement.
Howe Green House School was founded in 1987. Come and visit us and share in all that we have achieved and are continuing to develop. You will leave refreshed and excited by the experience.
