We believe every child can thrive when afforded a truly wondrous childhood in our carefully managed, richly rewardingly educational environment that promotes curiosity in all that we do.
Alleyn Court is a hidden gem benefitting from the largest and most diverse site in the area. It provides the space for children to breathe and grow in a semi-rural wonderland. We are proud of our reputation as a leading independent school with outstanding outcomes for children both academically and in terms of developing young people of character; people of note.
Our academic system is based on small classes and high staff ratios, a structured pathway of small transitions and ever-increasing subject-specialist teaching. Children leave us not just well-prepared for their secondary school but connected to a world of rapid change and adventure, having experienced that cherished foundation of a truly exceptional childhood.
From very different starting points, children's academic, personal and physical progress is monitored, and their progress challenged. We do not set glass ceilings and every child is expected to strive and achieve based on demanding, but attainable expectations. We have significant experience in preparing children for highly competitive academic entrance exams to local grammar and independent schools and ensure that every child is supported through to an appropriate secondary school.

Our children's animated curiosity, so powerfully demonstrated in the Pre-Prep, is carefully nurtured and developed, growing to encompass the wonders of our broad and specialist-taught curriculum. Alongside this, our children develop the courage to pursue their dreams to fruition, to take risks, and to be brave enough to know that genuine success only comes through learning to get things wrong and reflecting meaningfully. Our children also learn the importance of compassion; to be able to look after themselves socially, emotionally and physically, to support their friends and family and to care for the world in which we all live.

Our children are wreathed in a series of experiences that will change them profoundly. They will be challenged in many situations and gradually become increasingly courageous. Curiosity is innate and needs to be nurtured, but courage is an acquirable skill and developed through life experiences. The broader the better. Children grow through learning that there are significant risks to being on a stage, a netball court, putting your hand up in class and speaking out with conviction on a delicate subject... but there are also significant rewards for the same. And more importantly there is learning.
