Word From The Head

Dougal Lyon, Head

I am delighted to welcome you and give you an introduction to our school. Set in 15 acres above Perth, our stunning site enjoys spectacular views over the Fair City and the River Tay. It is a special place to learn and grow and it is a privilege to lead the Craigclowan community.

Craigclowan offers a rich and varied experience for every pupil and, as a staff, we know the vital importance of fostering outstanding relationships with the children. It is these relationships which will help them interpret their experience and make the incremental steps required to develop into interested, resilient and kind young people. As practitioners, we are constantly reflecting on how we teach but also what we teach to ensure our curriculum is relevant, coherent and inspiring. We are determined that our offering outside the classroom is equally empowering and stimulating. To that end, there is a wide array of extra-curricular activities for the pupils to enjoy.

Our website will only give you a flavour of Craigclowan so I would be delighted if you would come and see us. I very much look forward to welcoming you.

Email from Current Parent Moving Overseas

We have been nothing but impressed with your school and our boys absolutely love coming to school each day. They have made great strides and we are very grateful for the opportunities they have been allowed to explore. The hardest part of this entire decision was leaving Craigclowan so thank you...

The progress she is making academically, emotionally and socially is remarkable and very much down to every single one of you at Craigclowan.

We just would like to convey our sincerest thanks for all your help regarding the girls. We are truly sad to be departing but the school has left a great impression on all of us. Your members of staff have been exemplary. We wish you and Craigclowan all the best for the future.
