National Singers

Published Monday 28th of January 2013 12:33:03 PM

It has been a bumper year musically as ten of our pupils have been selected to be part of the National Children's Choir. They auditioned well and met the strict criteria a tremendous achievement. They will attend a week-long course at Easter and in the summer, where they will develop their aural and vocal skills and perform in concerts.
Enjoyment is central to our Music teaching and all are involved, from Nursery onwards. 'Crash, Bang, Wallop' our loud percussion group and 'Strum It' for the Ukulele make learning great fun in Pre-Prep. Later percussion continues, along with Strings ensembles, Jazz band and Guitar group. All Berkhampstead children, from Year 2 upwards, perform at our Spring concert in Cheltenham's spectacular Pittville Pump Room, a highlight of the musical year.
