TS walk away with three awards at County Drama Festival

FOUR students from Taunton School (James Mear, Sam Dunn, Alex Hill and Ricky Parsons) performed Derek Bowskill's "Burn Up" at the Somerset County Drama Festival at the Edgar Hall, Somerton on Saturday, March 23rd.They received a wonderful adjudication describing their work as "seamless, exciting, stunning, well executed, slick and a wonderful team effort".
A huge thank you also goes out to Tom Dunn who created a fantastic lighting plot which fully complemented their performance.
They were well rewarded with three awards: "The Audience Award" for the play most enjoyed, The Lydia Durston Trophy" for "Best Endeavour" and "The Eyris Jones Youth Memorial Shield" for Best Youth Production.
They have now qualified to take part in the Four Counties Drama Final in Pewsey in Wiltshire on April 21st.
The drama department's warmest congratulations go out to the cast.
