Perseverantia Vincit a motto fit for an Olympian!

Katherine Grainger visited us at Berkhampstead School and saw the Prep children put it into practice as they competed in the House Cross Country, watched by the Olympic gold medallist!

Berkhampstead was delighted to welcome Katherine and to hear her thoughts on achievement and endeavour she was inspirational. All clamoured to touch her gold medal and to ask for autographs. It was a fantastic visit, Katherine kindly unveiled a commemorative plaque in the Pre-Prep's grounds and awarded the House Cross Country cup. Her presence got all runners in the right frame of mind the event has never been so eagerly contested!
