Wisdom School continues to establish its international reputation by representing the United Kingdom in a Pan European project. By successfully securing funding from the European Union through their educational program 'Comenuis,' Wisdom students travelled to Italy as ambassadors of British culture and education.Wisdom school hosted their European partners on the 7th to 9th May 2013. Staff and students from Poland, Turkey, Spain, Italy and Bulgaria enjoyed the hospitality of Wisdom and the chance to experience British culture, music and tradition. They also had the chance to meet NZ Paralympian Tim Prendergast.
One of the key activities was to produce a 'Logo and Slogan' that will be used across the European Union to represent the project's title, 'A traditional European Village.' Wisdom students rose to the challenge by producing a beautiful and very imaginative logo (above).
Wisdom students were also busy building a model Spanish house with fellow students from Italy, Poland and Turkey, helping to build bridges from learning from each others culture. The next trip will by to Poland in October 2013.
