Stowe Cricket Festival Winners!

Early on Sunday morning at the end of May, a mini bus full of excited U11 cricketers set out for Buckinghamshire and the glorious cricket pitches of Stowe School.

Lasting the full day, the boys played a number of matches against teams from other Prep schools across Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire winning all their matches. The final was played in the sunshine in front of the main school building which saw some exciting play from both teams.

Darren Gough, retired England cricketer, former captain of Yorkshire Cricket Club and more recently winner of Strictly Come Dancing, watched the final and presented the trophy to the Lambrook Colts.

Darren spoke to all those involved in the tournament expressing his delight in what he had seen and was more than happy to sign a number of cricket bats too!
