Superb GCSE Results at St Benedict's School

St Benedict's School in Ealing is celebrating a superb set of GCSE results. The 23.9% of A* grades is the highest in the school's history and comfortably exceeds the ambitious target which was set before the exams.The percentage of A grades was 53.3% and 48 pupils achieved 7 or more A grades including 24 who achieved 5 or more A* grades. There were some outstanding individual performances headed by Stelios Souvaliotis and Daniel Makhoul who both achieved 10 A* grades and 1A, closely followed by Evie Gracie-Barnes, Xavier Crean, Sam Lewis, Oliver Lythgoe and Adrian Piga with 9 A*s and 2 As. The average number of passes per pupil at Grades A*-C was 9.5.
Headmaster Chris Cleugh said: 'This is our first fully co-educational GCSE year and I am delighted that both girls and boys have performed admirably. In fact, the girls have slightly outperformed the boys in the two highest grades A*/A. Congratulations to all our students.'
