GODOLPHIN A-LEVEL RESULTS - 2013

Mrs Samantha Price, Head at Godolphin, is delighted with the A-level results achieved by the Godolphin girls this year. 'Our percentage of A*-A has increased almost 11% on last year's results, which is a fantastic achievement, particularly in light of the fact that the national average of A*-A has decreased over the past two years. The girls have worked exceptionally hard to achieve this and we are extremely proud of them. We are also thrilled that 10% of those who applied to university have been offered places at either Oxford or Cambridge, with the majority of girls getting in to their first choice of tertiary education'.

A Level Results 2013

There were 177 subject entries

A* - A Grades 62.7% (51.83% 2012)
A* - B Grades 83.1% (78.53% 2012)
A* - C Grades 92.1%
A* - D Grades 98.9%

Twenty girls achieved at least three A* or As, with Head Girl, Bryony Ford achieving three A grades and a B, and Deputy Head Girl, Iona Dryden, achieving three A grades.

At AS level, almost 20% of the girls achieved either four or five A grades, which is another achievement the school is extremely proud of.

'Perhaps one of the most pleasing statistics for the school is our value added' said Mrs Price, '14% of the girls achieved more than a grade higher than was predicted for them when they sat the national benchmarking tests at the start of the Lower Sixth, and this is a testament to our dedicated teaching staff and the hard work put in by the girls'.

'The highest value added results were achieved in Art and Economics which highlights the diversity of expertise at Godolphin' said Mrs Price.
