New Crosfields swimming pool to open in Olympic year

Crosfields is delighted to confirm that planning approval for their new state of the art pool swimming pool was granted in January 2011. Replacing the existing pool which was built in the 1960's, the pool will be built alongside the existing Sports Hall. Features of the pool will include a 25 metre x 10 metre pool, with 5 lanes for competition swimming. The very latest variable depth floor from 2 metres to zero will allow for teaching a wide age range and ability. The design includes changing facilities for 60 swimmers with space for 180 spectators.
