Young Artists Represent The Unicorn School

Published on isbi School News dated Thursday 7th of May 2015

The Unicorn School is immensely proud of the young artists selected to represent our school at the prestigious Young Art Oxford exhibition. Arthur L, Jacob T, Flynn G, Oliver R, Louis M, Thomas W-M, Erin M, Millie Maye H-R, Tom F, Felix I-P and Nelson R each had their work exhibited at Oxford's Ashmolean Museum alongside entrants from over 40 Oxfordshire schools. Our pupil's artwork was selected from over 3,000 entrants, so being chosen to exhibit is a very impressive achievement.

Yesterday evening the school and families attended a private viewing of the exhibition, the quality of the artwork was extremely impressive and we were proud to be a part of it. The exhibition is open until Thursday 7th May so we encourage you to take the opportunity view this inspiring collection from young artists across the county.

Young Art Oxford is an annual art exhibition open to all Oxfordshire schools with children aged between 5 and 13 years. It is a wonderful opportunity for young aspiring artists to have their work viewed by well known professionals and artists and to exhibit at the prestigious Ashmolean Museum. Money raised from the exhibition goes to Cancer Research UK to fund research into cures and treatment for childhood cancers. For more information please visit their website at www.youngartoxford.com.

The Unicorn School is extremely proud of our young artists and we hope that you enjoy the exhibition.
