Summer Activities Week

Published on isbi School News dated Monday 27th of July 2015

This year's summer activities week at St Mary's Shaftesbury provided an action-packed itinerary of fun and games, giving the girls a chance to learn new skills and make new friends. The girls took part in a mixture of tennis coaching, netball, life-saving skills, arts and crafts, drama, den building and fun in the pool. We also held a photography scavenger hunt around the school grounds and the girls made clay birds and soap during arts and crafts. The activities week provides the perfect opportunity for prospective students to explore the nurturing environment that St Mary's has to offer. At St Mary's, girls have the confidence to be themselves, explore the educational opportunities available, debate any topic and take part in all the extra-curricular activities on offer. They feel able to take risks, become resilient and independent, and at the same time, enjoy life-long friendships whilst being part of a close knit community. Girls also thrive outside of the classroom and, with the wide-ranging activities on offer, they excel at sport, music, art and drama and enjoy participating in debating, photography, the Business Enterprise Scheme, Sports Leaders, Duke of Edinburgh, life guarding, charity expeditions and a range of other clubs and societies.
