The Unicorn School in Abingdon is celebrating its 20th Anniversary. Invitations have gone out and plans are well under way for the celebration of a major milestone in the life of the School. However, over twenty years lots of past parents and pupils have moved on and we need to find these 'lost parents' to send them an invitation.Jackie Vaux, head teacher at The Unicorn, added 'Whilst we are all thrilled at reaching the school's 20th Birthday we would like as many past parents and pupils of the school to attend the celebrations and to get in contact with us if they have not received an invitation and would like to come.'
A summer garden party to mark 20 years of teaching and support for dyslexic children is planned for Saturday 11th June. Governors and staff are inviting pupils and parents, both past and present, to join them for what promises to be a splendid event. Invitations are also being sent to friends and supporters of the school from its first 20 years.
The Unicorn School is a unique, co-educational day school for dyslexic, dyspraxic and dyscalculic children aged from 6 to 13 years, serving the 4 counties of Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Gloucestershire; it specialises in nurturing the many talents of each of its pupils in a warm and supportive family atmosphere.
The success to date of the school is undeniable and the whole team is looking forward to the next 20 years!
