A talented Year 13 student at St Benedict’s School in Ealing has been awarded a financial bursary by the Leonard Aggio Financial Trust on behalf of Ealing Music Service. Sam Loveless, who leads the trumpet section in the school orchestra and is a key member of Ealing Youth Orchestra, went through a gruelling audition and interview process in order to gain his award. Sam is thrilled with the award of £600 which will go towards the purchase of an Eb trumpet, which is a vital asset for both solo concerto and orchestral work. "Playing with EYO and working alongside Ealing Music Service has been a real eye-opener for me. I adore the challenge of the repertoire and greatly enjoy making new friends in the orchestra," said Sam. "We are delighted with Sam's award," explained his form tutor at St Benedict’s, Mrs Esslin-Peard. "Sam is a dedicated and hard-working student who deserves this extra support and will make good use of it in the future."
