Outstanding Sixth Form Results

Bedford School is delighted to announce another set of outstanding Sixth Form results, with 80% of all leavers’ exams marked at A*-B (or IB equivalent) and, impressively, 54% of all exams at A* or A (or equivalent). Seven boys secured prestigious Oxbridge places with their outstanding results: Simon Beale, Angus Quinn, Ray Ren, Benjamin Moule and Bryan Ng will be all be studying at Oxford. Jim Cooper, who was awarded an organ scholarship to Sidney Sussex College, and James Smith, who scored an impressive four A* grades, both head to Cambridge. Tze Chong also achieved an impressive four A* grades and will be taking up a place at Imperial College London to read Computing. Joshua Carmichael achieved 41 out of 45 in the IB and will read medicine (6-years) at University College London. Head Master, James Hodgson said "The boys have worked incredibly hard and thoroughly deserve these excellent results. I congratulate them and their teachers. It is particularly pleasing to see so many boys going on to study such a wide variety of degrees - from Aerospace Engineering to Zoology - they certainly have exciting and bright futures ahead of them. Outside the classroom it has also been a highly successful year, and these fine academic results truly round it off in style".
