Top marks in the school go to Moe Kishima, who was awarded 3 A*s, 2As and an A grade in her Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). Moe is thrilled to be accepting a place to read Medicine at University College London. Other girls achieving stellar marks include Head Girl, Lottie Hughes who has not only led St George’s over the past year, providing an invaluable link between staff and students but has also achieved A*, A, A. Other notable performers are Jade Agnew and Qianyi Deng who both achieved 2A*s, A. Particularly impressive results were awarded in Modern Foreign Languages with 100% of students achieving A*/A in French, Spanish and Russian. Additionally, 100% of students achieved A*/B in Further Mathematics. St George’s girls also excelled in the EPQ with 86% achieving A*/A. This research project which is highly regarded by top universities stands the girls in good stead for the independent study skills required of undergraduates. From September 2016, all Sixth Form students at St George’s will study for this qualification alongside their A level studies. Headmistress, Rachel Owens commented: “Every girl has worked extremely hard to achieve this outstanding set of results - I am proud of each and every one of them. A key indicator of our success at St George’s is our value-added score, which shows that our students achieved on average 1.5 grades higher than predicted by baseline testing. These confident young women have the life skills as well as the results they need to pursue the careers of their choice and I wish them all the very best of luck for the future”.
