The Bishop’s Stortford College U16 Indoor Hockey Team have secured their place in the National Finals of the Boys U16 Schools’ Super 6s Championships. On 23rd November, the team competed in the County Indoor Hockey Championships, winning three games to secure first place. They then travelled to Bedford on 4th December for the East Finals, in which they were named runners up after winning four of their six matches. Coach Graham Brooks comments; “The boys played extremely well and above all they kept their energy levels high, despite six matches and over 90 minutes of indoor hockey.” The team now look forward to competing in the National Finals in January. To help prepare for the Finals, they are currently enjoying a three-day masterclass with German side Rot-Weiss in Cologne. For two of the U16 players, this will be their fourth National Final in 12 months; three with the school team, and one with the local hockey club.
