Bright star Seren receives an A* Welsh GCSE at age 14

Published on isbi School News dated Thursday 20th of October 2011

A Rydal Penrhos School pupil has received an A* for her Welsh Language GCSE at only 14.

After only 3 years of studying the language, Seren Roberts was put forward for the GCSE exam in May 2011 and was delighted to receive an A*.

Now a pupil in Year 10, Seren is concentrating on her core GCSE subjects ready for her exams in 2013. However, Seren isn't planning on letting her new language skills slip and continues to speak to her next door neighbour in Welsh.

Every pupil is expected to learn at least one modern language at GCSE level.
