Year 9 Visit Reception Children

At the end of last term, Year 9 Spanish students visited Reception at the Longdon campus to help the children with their language lessons and have a lot of fun at the same time. The Year 9s taught the reception children the song of 'Caga Tio' (uncle poo) and the Reception children tapped the Caga Tio (the Uncle Poo log) and sang the song in Catalan and the Uncle Poo “pooed” presents for the children! Our Year 9s then helped the Reception children to do some Christmas crafts and Christmas colouring. The Year 9s were excellent, talking to the children and helping them with their crafts and the Reception children were focused and enthusiastic. Several of the students were at Longdon themselves when they were younger, so were really nostalgic going back, and kept remembering the 'good old times'!
