Congratulations to Upper Third pupil John on another outstanding achievement in Clay Pigeon Shooting. At age 12, John won his first ever High Gun at the Barrow Sporting Clays last weekend with a shot of 95/100, beating not only the U16s but all of the adult participants too.

John has previously won the Bidwell Cup this year, a prize awarded to the Colt with the highest combined score from the English Open Sporting and British Open Sporting 2022.

His father, Shane, commented, ''John is thrilled with his achievements over the past 12 months, and his final goal for 2022 was to try and place at a local shoot in AA. The High Gun this weekend has exceeded all hopes.''

We look forward to seeing John continue his incredible journey in this sport.
