Teacher headlines awards ceremony with Atlantic rowing tales

Mr David Edwards, the Senior Deputy Head Pastoral at Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools, was the special guest at a glittering awards ceremony in Hereford.
Mr Edwards was invited to give the headline speech at Sunshine Radio’s Sunshine Pride Awards 2022.
The Old Monmothian spoke about his successful attempt to row the Atlantic Ocean and how his wife, Old Girl Mrs Pippa Edwards, managed to eclipse his own crew’s time earlier this year!
Being Beaten Across the Atlantic by Your Wife, was the theme of Mr Edwards’ inspiring speech.
The Sunshine Pride Awards recognise heroes in the Herefordshire and Monmouthshire area and shine a light on the good deeds done by stars in the community in teaching, business, caring, fundraising, sport and volunteering.
