Kimbolton - Top 100 School for Cricket

Kimbolton has once again been named as one of the Top 100 best schools for cricket in the UK, in The Cricketer magazine's respected Schools Guide 2023. The successful roll call of schools – which features both state-funded and independent establishments – was finalised after an exhaustive selection process that saw a huge number submit entries for inclusion in the guide.

Schools were judged against an extensive set of criteria, with the chosen establishments having a compelling commitment to cricket in the curriculum, facilities, fixture programmes and coaching.

Cricket at Kimbolton benefits from a team of experienced coaches led by professional ex-England player Alex Tudor. With five well-maintained pitches, indoor and outdoor nets, as well as a Merlyn spin bowling machine, there are plenty of opportunities for girls and boys of all ages and abilities to hone their batting, bowling, and fielding skills at both the Prep and Senior School.

We regularly host and take part in cricket fixtures and festivals, as well as inviting world-class cricketers to our school to share their knowledge and expertise. These have included former West Indies captain Sir Garfield Sobers and former England captain Graham Gooch OBE.
