Here at The Oratory Prep School, we are delighted to share and celebrate the successes that our recent Alumni have achieved at their senior schools.

Super GCSE Success For OPS Alumni

Milo Briffett: ten grade 9s and one 8
George Clark: five 9s, four 8s, one 7 and one 6
Jamie Mullin: one 9, five 8s, three 7s and two 6s
All 3 pupils are staying on at The Oratory School for 6th Form.

Resilience and Industry Award for Eleanor

Eleanor (Ellie) Buckley received the Flag Award for Resilience and Industry at Pangbourne College. The award was given to her for taking the initiative to direct a ‘Mary Poppins’ Dunbar (Year 7 and 8) performance that she personally adapted for the stage, and for being fully committed to the production throughout the rehearsal process, whilst undertaking her GCSE exams. True to her nature, she was highly efficient, organised, and she acted as an exceptional role model to her youngest peers.

Ellie’s positive contribution to the co-curricular life at Pangbourne College last year not only included her successful direction of ‘Mary Poppins’, but also her involvement in the College production of ‘Great Expectation’ and her keen participation in The Guard, a group of pupils who play an important role in ceremonial traditions especially on Remembrance Sunday and Founders’ Day.

Euan Awarded 1st Team Colours for Rowing

This year, Euan Mackenzie has been appointed as ‘Chief Cadet Captain’ of Hesperus (Head Prefect of one of the houses at Pangbourne College), which is a fantastic achievement and a recognition of how much he is respected by his teachers and peers. Last term, he was awarded 1st Team Colours for Rowing, which is given to students who make a sustained and significant impact on the 1st team in their sport. Euan displays a wonderful commitment to and enthusiasm for College life and he will be a superb role model in his final year.

Full School Colours and Distinction for Lucy

Lucy Skinner was awarded Full School Colours for Tennis last term at Pangbourne College. Full School Colours for Sport are given to pupils who have made an outstanding contribution and commitment, normally over a two-year period, to the 1st team.

Lucy was a key member of the 1st VI Tennis team. She was a cool and calm tennis player who used her consistency of shots to force her opposition into making mistakes. She played in every single 1st VI match last term, that didn’t clash with an exam, and produced some fantastic displays of grit and determination. Lucy worked hard during her Sixth Form years and was awarded a Distinction in both her Media and Sport BTECs. She was a kind and friendly student who demonstrated much resilience, as well as self-discipline.

Ben Awarded Top Marks at A Level and LAMDA

Congratulations to The Oratory School pupil, Ben Daintree-Blackshaw, who achieved 3 A* grades in his A Level results this year. Ben also passed LAMDA Bronze in L6th Form and LAMDA Gold Acting Solo in U6th Form, giving him a grand total of 194 UCAS points. Ben is off to study Television Production at Bournemouth University.

Brilliant Results at A Level for Tony

Well done to Tony Dong who was awarded A, B, C in his A Level results this year. Tony also achieved an A* in Chinese and was House Captain for St John, one of The Oratory School’s senior boys houses in his final year.
