A Good Citizen is ?

Ask any of our pupils at St Benedict's Junior School what a good citizen is and you would more than likely get into a lively discussion with them about the many things they discovered during our 'Citizenship Day' on Friday 27 January. A range of guest speakers enlightened children and staff about the work that they do to promote good citizenship. Included in those guest speakers were: a Human Rights lawyer, a consultant in Critical Care Medicine, a Police Officer, the London Fire Brigade and Angie Bray, MP for Ealing Central and Acton.

The children and staff dressed as 'good citizens' for the day and thoroughly experienced, through a range of activities, what being a good citizen is all about. I am sure they would all agree that being a good citizen is the responsibility of each and every one of us, just as our school mission states: 'Teaching a Way of Living.
