National Enterprise Challenge

t the end of term Year 9 pupils participated in a National Enterprise Challenge. The aim was for them to work in teams and discover ‘The Next Big Thing’. Their target marketing group was teenagers from 13-18. They were led through the process of finding ‘The Next Big Thing’ with a series of short videos sponsored by Natwest and delivered by The Inspirational Learning Group.

The winning team had the idea of creating chewing gum that contained protein to boost nutrition; others looked at new ideas for mobile phone apps and creating new fashion brands.

The boys all had fun with the Dragon’s Den style pitches at the end of the day, the presenters were impressed with their creativity and the confidence evident in their presentations.

Days like these spark creativity and entrepreneurial learning for our pupils and we hope to offer more workshops like this in the future.
