Record Turnout for Boys' Hockey Teams

Published by Kimbolton School on Tuesday 21st of March 2023

Every First and Second Form boy in school yesterday (Monday 13th) took part in Hockey fixtures against The Leys and Oundle – the most we have had out playing competitive matches at the same time! Kimbolton fielded eleven teams and a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon was had by all, including many playing their first fixture for our school.

Kimbolton Hockey coach Ben Mills said: “At all levels the games were competitive, enjoyable, and played in good spirit. It was great to see every boy who was available - over 100 of them - out playing matches and putting to good use the skills they have been working on this term. Importantly, there was a huge amount of great sporting behaviour on show and some wonderful interaction between our boys and their opponents too, demonstrating the important social benefits of sport."

Many thanks to both Oundle and The Leys for hosting and providing great games and hospitality.
