"Excellent" In All Areas!

Sherborne Prep is delighted to share its inspection report and is proud to be rated ‘Excellent’ across all areas by the ISI (Independent Schools Inspectorate).

Covering all aspects of independent schools, including the quality of education and facilities, the inspectors visited Sherborne Prep across three days, from Tuesday 17 – Thursday 19 January, and oversaw a variety of lessons, break times, held focus groups with pupils and staff and sought survey responses from staff and parents.

The inspection noted social awareness in our pupils of all ages to be excellent; younger pupils were described as effective collaborators who engage in lively discussion, enjoy shared tasks and play happily, to work together and solve problems.

Also mentioned, was how well pupils engage with their peers, particularly evident in the boarding community. Boarders were described as confident and articulate when conversing with adults in the boarding houses.

Head, Annie Gent, said: “We were delighted that the inspectors that joined us in January truly saw what a special place Sherborne Prep is. The warmth of our community, our ambition for our pupils and the myriad of opportunities on offer shone through and was reflected in our excellent report that we are so very proud of.”
