Sustainability - Handmade Bird Boxes

This week, the Prep Eco Committee have made birdhouses in a pupil-led initiative, to encourage more wildlife into our School grounds.

The shortage of nesting sites for birds is playing a part in the decline of birds in the UK. Natural nesting sites disappear as gardens are cleared and old trees with holes disappear. Bird boxes can provide shelter from bad weather, as well as egg laying.
