Upper Fifth Geography Trip To Southwold

Upper Fifth geographers enjoyed working in Southwold earlier this month studying both the coastal dynamics and the town's housing market.

Elizabeth writes, "The fieldtrip allowed us to tie the information we have been learning in class to an actually experience, making it easier to remember, as well as being more fun. We learnt about the scale of the damage that wealthy second home owners and holiday lets can do to small seaside towns like Southwold, as well as the benefits of sea walls and effective beach groynes on coastal regions."
