School Celebrates Super Six

Six talented sports students from Old Swinford Hospital, Stourbridge are celebrating after being selected for their country.

Head of School, Edward Taylor, who has already played for the England U19 Rugby team has now been selected along with Max Stelling for the U18 squad.

Joe Wrafter and Josh Feek have been selected for the U16 England Squad, after representing the Midlands U16 XV.

Fencer Amy Radford represented the Great British Epee Senior Team at a Grand Prix fixture in Qatar. She also recently travelled to Jersey to represent England at the Junior Commonwealth Championships and came second in the individual event and picked up gold in the team event.

Birchfield Harriers' runner Chloe Richardson represented England at the Lotto Cross Country Cup in Belgium. Chloe came fourth and was the highest ranked English competitor.

Headmaster Peter Jones said 'These students are dedicated to their sport and have proven what hard work and talent can achieve. In rugby, this is the first time the School has produced four caps for England in one season. '
