Published by Seaford College on Wednesday 29th of March 2023

Congratulations to our Year 11 Public Speaking team on your success.

Kevin Finniear, Head of English, said: "Amy Allison, Amelie Wright and Emily Freud were victorious once again in the Regional Finals of the ESU Churchill Public Speaking Competition at Churcher's College on Monday. They beat very stiff opposition in the form of teams from Churcher's, St Catherine's School, Wellington, Calthorpe Park and Davison High.

Amy also won the award for best speaker for her speech arguing that 'Anger has a role to play in public life', drawing her arguments from Winston Churchill, the Bible and Happy Valley! Students in 'the dream team' are now looking forward to the National Final at Churchill College, Cambridge on Sunday 30 April."

Congratulations to everyone involved and Ad Alta for the National Final in Cambridge!
