School Council

Published on isbi School News dated Thursday 28th of September 2023

Our School Council has formed for the 2023-24 academic year! Two representatives from each year group, from Year 2 to Year 8 (inclusive of our two Heads of School) sit on the council, to be a voice for all of our pupils. Mrs Glanvill heads up the School Council and guides the pupils in their discussions.
At each school council meeting, pupils will be talking about a ‘BIG’ question. In the two weeks that follow each meeting, school council members hold a meeting/discussion with their peers. School council members can then lead the discussion about the question set at the meeting. Any pupil who does not yet feel confident enough to speak in their year group meeting has the chance to write down their ideas, so that every voice is heard.
We are very excited to hear what issues and thoughts the pupils decide to tackle this year!
