Real Life Viking Visits Year 4!

On Tuesday the 10 October Year 4 had a fantastic day. Pupils had the chance to dress up as Vikings (Norse people) and be led by warrior, Ingvar, from Portals to the Past, who delivered brilliant workshops.

The morning workshop involved completing a quiz about Viking Gods, runes, riddles and battles. They also got to inspect lots of ancient artefacts. The afternoon workshop prepared Year 4 for their Claremont invasion! Here the children examined Viking amour and weapons. This was followed by learning about the tale of Ragnarok. The children really enjoyed their interactive workshops on Vikings and you will be pleased to know that Claremont still stands!
