Fenching Success For Izzie

Congratulations to Izzie, who had a great weekend of fencing in Croatia with the U14 England Squad. She fenced in the U14 tournament in the morning and then in an U17 Cadet International tournament in the afternoon. In the U14 age group she won five of her 6 poule bouts, finishing 12th overall out of 47.

In the U17 cadet tournament, she won four of her six poule bouts, gaining a place in the last 64. She won her first “direct elimination” bout 15-13 against a fellow England teammate to gain a place in the final 32, then went down against the 9th seed, finishing 25th overall out of 63.
