Canford Ranks Top Co-ed At A Level In South West In 2024 Sunday Times Parent Power Report

Published by Canford School on Wednesday 6th of December 2023

While exam results are only one part of the balanced education that Canford offers and only one aspect of the outcomes Canfordians achieve, nevertheless we are hugely proud that the academic successes of our talented pupils, supported by our talented teaching staff, have been recognised once again in this year’s Sunday Times Parent Power guide. Among co-educational independent secondary schools in the South West region, Canford once again ranks No.1 at A Level for its 2023 results, with 87.7% of all entries awarded A*-B grades. Nationally, the school is again among the top 100 independent secondary schools in the country as a whole, ranking 56= at A Level, and 81st for A Level and GCSE combined. To see the full breakdown of our academic results, please visit: www.canford.com/exam-results Headmaster Ben Vessey commented: “Our teaching and learning across subject based curriculum study combined with a vibrant intellectual enrichment programme results in a school environment where every pupil is encouraged to follow our Canford vision for all ‘to explore, to express and to excel’. I am delighted that their academic achievements have been recognised regionally and nationally, and that these are consistently achieved within such a dynamic and positive school culture where every individual is valued and supported.”
