Celebrating Our Founding Patron's 90th Birthday

Our Founding Patron, the amazing Dame Stephanie Shirley CH, celebrated her 90th birthday on Saturday, 16 September, 2023.

Dame Stephanie's vision and passion to build a better future for children with autism became a reality when Prior's Court opened in 1999. This drive came from her own experiences with her son Giles who was autistic and had epilepsy.

To mark Dame Stephanie's 90th birthday, earlier in the year we gathered past and present members of the Prior's Court family to share their experiences which we made into a film that premiered on Saturday, 16 September

To mark the birthday, a piece of artwork made by young people at Prior's Court was delivered to Dame Stephanie alongside a cake made in our bakery and cards with messages from Prior's Court staff and the families of the young people we currently support and supported in the past.

Happy birthday video messages from our young people and their families were also sent to Dame Stephanie.
