A Level Results 2023

Published by Dauntsey's on Wednesday 17th of May 2023

Our 138 Upper Sixth Formers have achieved very good A-level results with almost three quarters of the grades awarded at A* - B and impressive performances throughout the year group.

Of the 138 applications to higher education, 94% have already been offered places at their preferred institutions. 125 of these applications were to universities through UCAS, while three pupils head to Conservatoires, two to Drama Schools and eight pupils have places on Art Foundation courses, including at the Charles Cecil Studios in Florence. In addition, one pupil will embark on an Engineering degree apprenticeship with the MOD, and two pupils head abroad for their degree studies, one to Harvard University, and one to EHL Hospitality Business School, Switzerland.

13.8% of the grades awarded were at A*, 42% at A* - A and 70.6% A* - B, while twenty-seven pupils achieved all A* and A grades.

Having endured a disrupted education, missed their GCSE examinations altogether and then had to watch as Ofqual decided to bring grades back to 2019 levels, this superb year group, who made such an exceptional contribution to all aspects of school life, have done very well indeed. The results are a fitting reward for their hard work and effort, as well as a reflection of the dedication and expertise of our staff.

I wish our leavers the very best of luck as they move on from Dauntsey’s, and would like to thank parents for the invaluable support and encouragement that they have provided along the way.
