Anti Bullying Week – Make A Noise!

We have been discussing anti-bullying as part of the annual nationwide initiative of anti-bullying week. Last week, the whole school was able to get the conversation started with our visiting speaker Julie Wilkinson from Brave the Rage. Julie spent time with all the children discussing what bullying looks like, strategies to help them build their confidence and provided some top tips on developing better personal wellbeing and mental health.

This week was about reinforcing those messages in form time discussions and sharing ideas on this year’s theme of ‘make some noise’. We know children can be unkind to one another but at Windlesham we are constantly reminding them about treating others with respect and speaking up, or making some noise, when they see things that aren’t right.

Whilst there has been a specific focus on anti-bullying this week, we are continually working on kindness towards each other.
