Art

Published by Lockers Park School on Friday 16th of June 2023

During Year 2 Art and Year 3 & 4 activities, we got in the summer mood with some large, close-up pastel pictures of fruit. The pupils worked hard to sketch their designs, to look closely at the colours and then to combine and blend them. They observed the form and texture of the fruit. They added many details and a vibrant background to create this eye-catching work. Look out for their pieces on display around the school!

It is fantastic when students choose to spend time pursuing their interests and this is something we encourage at Lockers Park. Two of our Year 3 pupils have been particularly busy at break time drop-in sessions in the art room. They are working on their own idea, creating a 3D fantasy map.

Our gap student, Lucy, has also been pursuing her love of art and she is busy creating some artwork for our library.
